Diademed bust r., wearing aegis; Rv.ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ, quadriga of elephants driven l. by figure of deified Alexander, holding thunderbolt and sceptre; in exergue, three monograms. BMC (Cyrenaica) p. 73 and pl. XXVIII, 6 ff var. (different monogram). Svoronos 147 and pl. V, 4. Very rare. Minor scratches on the obverse, otherwise good very fine.

Alexandria mint. Diademed and veiled head of the deified Arsinoe II r.; in field l., K; Rv. ΑΡΣIΝΟΗΣ – ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦΟΥ, double cornucopiae filled with fruit and bound with fillets. Svoronos 1498; SNG Copenhagen 322; Boston, MFA 2293. A superb example struck in high relief. Lovely reddish hues on the reverse. Near extremely fine / extremely fine.
